A search is underway for a missing woman in East Portland. The Portland Police Bureau's Missing Persons Unit is asking for the public to keep an eye out for her.

On Friday, August 26, 2022, East Precinct officers were dispatched to a report of a missing person in the 7500 block of Southeast Lambert Street. They were told that Yueliu Tan, 68, went out with her cart to collect cans and had not returned home. Yueliu was last seen leaving her home on foot at 5:45 am.

Yueliu is an Asian female, 4 ft 6 in tall, 145 lbs, with short black and gray hair (photo). Yueliu was last seen wearing a yellow shirt, with multiple other colors and patterns (photo), black pants and a red Nike hat. Yueliu has no diagnosed health concerns but is only familiar with her neighborhood. Yueliu walks her neighborhood several times a week. Yueliu has no phone or money and does not use TriMet. Yueliu’s family says that she only speaks Chinese.

Officers have searched for Yueliu without success. If anyone sees Yueliu, please call 911. If anyone has other information about this case, e-mail the Missing Persons Unit at missing@portlandoregon.gov.
