The Portland Police Bureau is asking for help identifying a suspect who has caused property damage in Northwest Portland.

On June 29, 2021 at about 12:48 p.m., a man walked along the sidewalk of Northwest 23rd Avenue knocking over restaurant sandwich board signs. The same man removed metal garbage can lids and threw them at parked vehicles, causing thousands of dollars of damage.

Portland Police would like help identifying the man and are sharing a short video clip that shows the man throw a garbage can lid against a parked vehicle. The man, and the owner of that particular vehicle, have not been identified.

Anyone who can identify the man or the owner of the vehicle is asked to contact Sgt. Peter McConnell at peter.mcconnell@portlandoregon.gov.
