The Portland Police Bureau Enhanced Community Safety Team is investigating a Downtown shooting case from August 26, 2021 and is requesting witnesses and those with information to come forward.
On August 26, 2021 at 2:47 a.m., Central Precinct officers responded to a report of someone shot at Southwest 2nd Avenue and Southwest Columbia Street. The caller was injured by a graze wound to the face. His injuries were not life threatening.
Officers learned that the shooting had taken place about 1:45 a.m. in a parking lot near Southwest 13th Avenue and Southwest Washington Street. The victim had walked to the call location to make a police report.
Officers located a crime scene and attempted to contact witnesses. Investigators believe there were numerous witnesses who left the area prior to police arrival.
