Police are conducting a homicide investigation in the Irvington Neighborhood after a man was found deceased.

On September 12, 2022, just after 7:00 a.m., officers with North Precinct were called to the 2100 Block of Northeast 18th Avenue after a man was found lying in a driveway, unresponsive. Officers arrived to find the man was suffering from what appeared to be multiple stab wounds, and was deceased.

Homicide detectives are responding to the scene and will be conducting an investigation. Northeast 18th Avenue will be shut down from Brazee to Tillamook, and Tillamook will be shut down from 16th to 20th for several hours until investigators are finished processing the crime scene.

The identity of the victim will be released after he is identified, after cause and manner of death have been confirmed, and after close family have been notified.
