The wanted subject was located hiding in a shed and he was apprehended without incident.

The individual is identified as 25-year-old Zachary Drazner. He was taken into custody on multiple warrants.

The Portland Police Bureau’s Special Emergency Reaction Team (SERT) and Crisis Negotiation Team (CNT) are assisting U.S. Marshals with an operation in the Centennial Neighborhood.

On Monday, January 8, 2024, at approximately 4:50 p.m., East Precinct officers responded to the area of Southeast 166th Avenue and Southeast Haig Drive to assist U.S. Marshals who were trying to apprehend a wanted subject. The individual, who may be armed, fled. SERT and CNT have responded to assist.

A community emergency notification system called Public Alerts has been utilized to encourage residents to stay indoors as law enforcement searches the neighborhood for the wanted subject. The area where the search is being conducted is Southeast 164th Avenue to Southeast 167th Avenue and Southeast Haig Drive to Southeast Bush Street.

A public information officer has responded to the scene and is available to speak to reporters near Southeast 162nd Avenue and Southeast Rhone Street.

Anyone with information about this case is urged to call 911 immediately.
