Suspect of Menacing Incident Identified (Photo)

The suspect in this incident that prompted the activation of SERT and CNT is identified as 33-year-old Nathan Eric Robinson. During his apprehension a K9 Unit was deployed, resulting in a minor injury to Robinson from a dog bite. He is receiving treatment at a local hospital and soon after is expected to be booked into the Multnomah County Detention Center.

Robinson is charged with Unlawful Possession of a Loaded Firearm in Public, Menacing, and Unlawful Use of a Weapon.

On April 13, 2023, at 9:14 a.m., East Precinct officers were dispatched to the area of Southeast 92nd Avenue and Southeast Steele Street after a city worker was menaced by an individual who had what appeared to be a handgun. Portland’s Special Emergency Reaction Team has been activated and is responding to the scene.

While SERT activity is ongoing, Southeast 92nd Avenue will be closed from Southeast Steel Street to Southeast Raymond Street. The scene of the incident is contained, and there is no active threat to the community.

More information will be released as is appropriate.
