Early Morning Shooting in Portland's Montavilla Neighborhood - No Known Injuries

On Sunday, March 4, 2018, at 12:49 a.m., East Precinct officers responded to the reports of gunfire near the intersection of Northeast 78th Avenue and Northeast Halsey Street.

When officers arrived on scene they located multiple spent bullet casings on Northeast Halsey Street between Northeast 76th Avenue to Northeast 79th Avenue.

There were no reports of injuries or people arriving at area hospitals as a result of this shooting.

During the investigation, officers contacted witnesses who stated that occupants of a vehicle being driven on Northeast Halsey Street shot at another vehicle that was driving on Northeast Halsey Street.

No suspects related to this shooting have been located at this time.

Based on information learned at the scene, the Gang Enforcement Team responded to assume the investigation.
