Volunteers Will Honored Saturday Afternoon for Work as Members of The Disabled Parking Enforcement Unit

The Portland Police Bureau's Disabled Parking Enforcement Unit will be honored Saturday, March 17, 2018 at 3 p.m. for its contribution to the City of Portland over the last year. The event will be held at Saylor's Old Country Kitchen, 10519 SE Stark, Portland.

The Disabled Parking Enforcement Unit is a volunteer group that is part of the Bureau's Traffic Division. The group volunteered 7,235 hours in 2017 and issued 2,333 warnings and 1,280 citations--assessing $236,760 in fines. Volunteers checked 37,551 permits over 2017.

The Disabled Parking Enforcement Unit is looking for additional community members who want to join. Uniforms and training are provided. Anyone who would like to volunteer or learn more about the Disable Parking Enforcement Unit should contact Walt Hull at cwhull1980@gmail.com
