Stabbing Investigation Underway in Portland's Kern Neighborhood - One Person Injured

On Tuesday, April 10, 2018, at 2:01 p.m., Central Precinct officers responded to the report of a disturbance in the 200 block of Northeast Martin Luther King Junior Boulevard.

When officers and emergency medical personnel arrived, they located an adult male victim suffering from what were believed to be serious but non-life-threatening injuries.  He was transported by ambulance to a Portland hospital for treatment.

Based on preliminary information, officers believe the victim and the occupants of a black sedan were involved in a verbal and physical altercation.  During the altercation the victim was stabbed.  The black sedan and its occupants were last seen traveling northbound on Northeast Grand Avenue from Northeast Everett Street.

Officers searched the area, but have not located the vehicle or suspects at this time.

Criminalists with the Portland Police Bureau Forensic Evidence Division are responding to assist with this investigation.  Detectives with the Detective Division’s Assault Detail will continue the investigation. 

During this investigation Northeast Everett Street will be closed between Northeast Martin Luther King Junior Boulevard and Northeast Grand Avenue.
