Investigators have released a surveillance image of the suspect in Sunday afternoon's bank robbery in Southwest Portland.

Anyone seeing this suspect should immediately call 9-1-1. Any non-emergency information about this suspect should be directed to Special Agent Phillip Garcia at the Portland office of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) at 503-224-4181.

On Sunday December 2, 2018, at 2:45 p.m., Central Precinct officers responded to the report of a bank robbery at the US Bank branch inside Safeway, located at 8145 Southwest Barbur Boulevard.

Officers arrived in the area and contacted employees who told police that the suspect implied that he had a gun as he demanded money. After obtaining an undisclosed amount of cash, the suspect left the bank and grocery store without incident.

The suspect is described as a white male in his late-20s, clean-shaven, wearing a dark-colored hat, dark sunglasses, dark-colored clothing, and possibly armed with a handgun or an item resembling a handgun.
