UPDATE: Gun Recovered from Shooting and Updated Address

The shooting investigation continues this morning for the incident that occurred in the 3600 block of Northeast 82nd Avenue. The address was originally erroneously reported as being Southeast 82nd Avenue, but it should have been Northeast 82nd Avenue. The neighborhood is the Madison South Neighborhood, not Lents.

Officers have recovered the firearm believed to be involved in the incident. Based upon preliminary investigation, detectives do not believe there is any on-going risk to the public. Detectives continue to investigate the circumstances leading up to this incident.


PPB Investigating Shooting in Lents Neighborhood-Adult Male Injured

On Wednesday, February 20th, 2019, at 3:10 a.m., East Precinct officers responded to the report of a subject shot in the 3600 block of Southeast 82nd Avenue.

Officers and medical personnel arrived in the area and located an injured adult male. The injured male was transported by medical personnel to a Portland hospital for treatment for what are believed to be non-life threatening injuries.

Members of the Tactical Operations Division's Gun Violence Reduction Team responded to conduct an investigation. This is an on-going investigation and more information will be provided as it becomes available.
