PPB Investigating Sexual Assault Involving Knife in Northwest Portland

On Friday, July 26, 2019, at 4:34 a.m., Central precinct officers responded to a call of an assault near Northwest Glisan Street and Northwest 13th Avenue involving two female victims and a male armed with a knife. Officers learned one of the females was sexually assaulted by the male and the other female victim fended the male off. The male suspect fled on foot to the North.

Officers conducted an area search and did not locate the suspect. One female sustained a minor injury and was taken to an area hospital for treatment of a non-life threatening injury.

The suspect and the victims are not believed to be known to each other. The suspect is described as a white male older than 40, long hair in a ponytail, wearing a black hoodie and shorts that were likely tan in color.
