PPB Responds to Shooting Incident in Northeast Portland-One Arrested (Photo)

On Tuesday, November 19, 2019 at 5:50 p.m., North Precinct Officers responded to the Citizen East Apartments at the 4600 block of Northeast Killingsworth Street on a report of shots fired.

Officers arrived and located evidence of gunfire, but no injured parties. During the investigation, it was learned that a fight between subjects known to each other had occurred. After the fight, one of the involved males retrieved a firearm and fired shots at the other party.

Members of the Gun Violence Reduction Team arrived to assume the investigation. They determined the suspect involved was Tony Briggs, a 50 year-old male. (PHOTO)

Briggs was arrested and booked into the Multnomah County Detention Center on charges including Attempt Murder II, Felon in Possession of a Weapon (Firearm), Unlawful Use of a Weapon (Firearm) and a warrant for DUII/Reckless Driving.
