Suspect Arrested After Committing Robbery in Homestead Neighborhood (Photo)

On Thursday, May 20, at 5:29 p.m., Central Precinct officers responded to reports of a robbery at a convenience store located on the 900 block of Southwest Gibbs Street.

As officers responded to the location, they learned a suspect had entered the store, implied he had a gun, and demanded money and Camel filter cigarettes. The clerk reported the suspect left the location after obtaining the items and was last seen headed eastbound on Southwest Gibbs Street from the store.

Responding officers searched the area for the suspect with a description given to them by the store clerk. An area check near the location was conducted leading to the arrest of the suspect.

A search was conducted on the suspect revealing $82 in small bills and two packs of Camel filter cigarettes.

The suspect, 38-year-old Dathan Terrance Hall (photo), was booked in the Multnomah County Detention Center on a charge of Robbery in the Second Degree.
