Bike Theft Task Force Arrests Two in Bait Bike Mission (Photo)

On May 20, 2020, officers assigned to the Bike Theft Task Force (BTTF) conducted a mission targeting bike thieves, utilizing a "Bait Bike." The Bait Bike was left parked legally in a public area, and taken without permission. Officers from BTTF were able to recover the bike after it was stolen in the possession of two suspects.

34-year-old William S. Tillman was arrested and charged with this theft as well as several other crimes in which he was a suspect. Tillman was charged with seven counts of Theft (first degree), Theft (second degree), and Possession of Methamphetamine. 53-year-old Jarod Banks was charged with Theft (first degree). Both men were lodged into the Multnomah County Detention Center.
