GVRT Investigation Leads to Arrest of Suspect from April Shooting (Photo)

On April 22, 2020, North Precinct officers responded to multiple 911 calls regarding gunshots in the 1400 block of Northeast Prescott Street. No victims were located, however, officers were able to establish a crime scene where evidence of a shooting was recovered. The Portland Police Bureau's Gun Violence Reduction Team (GVRT) responded to the scene, took over the investigation, and identified a suspect.

On May 22, 2020, with the assistance of Portland Police Special Emergency Reaction Team (SERT), a search warrant was served at a house on the 1400 block of NE Holland Street. The suspect was arrested and a firearm as well as additional evidence of the crime were recovered.

The suspect, 21-year-old Jalen Frazier (Photo), was booked into Multnomah County Detention Center and charged with Attempt Murder and Unlawful Use of a Weapon.

The Gun Violence Reduction Team continues to interdict gun violence citywide.
