The pedestrian who died in the fatal traffic crash on June 4, 2020 has been identified as 51-year-old Miro Nik Brankovich. The next of kin has been notified.

On June 6, 2020 Portland Police Traffic Division was able to locate the driver and vehicle associated to the fatal crash on June 4, 2020.
30-year-old Steven Edward Killeen was arrested and booked into the Multnomah County Detention Center for Manslaughter (second degree), Reckless Driving, and Fail to Perform Duties of a Driver.

On June 4, 2020 at 11:04 p.m., Portland Police responded to the area of Southwest Barbur Boulevard and Southwest Capitol Hill Road on a call of a pedestrian struck by a vehicle. The vehicle did not stop, and drove out of the area. Central Precinct officers arrived as well as medical personnel, and located the pedestrian who was declared deceased at the scene.
The Portland Police Bureau Major Crash Team (MCT) responded and took over the investigation. The vehicle involved was described as a newer grey Dodge Caravan, with an unknown license plate and possible damage along the passenger side.
If anyone witnessed the crash or the driving of a grey Dodge Caravan mini-van in the area, they are encouraged to call police with information.
Portland Police are asking the public to please contact Officer Chris Johnson with any information of this incident at chris.johnson@portlandoregon.gov .
This is the 19th call-out for the MCT and the 18th fatal for 2020.
