The driver who died as a result of the vehicle crash has been identified as 57-year-old Brian Michael Johnston of Portland. The next of kin has been notified.

On July 11, 2020 at 4:45 p.m. Portland Police East Precinct officers responded to a report of a crash on Northeast Glisan Street in the area of Northeast 158 Avenue. Officers and medical units arrived and tended to the occupants of the vehicles involved in what appeared to be a head on collision.

Both drivers of the two cars involved in the initial crash obtained injuries. The driver of one vehicle was transported to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The driver of the second vehicle was pronounced deceased. There were no known passengers in the vehicles. A third vehicle was affected by the crash incurring no known injuries.

The Portland Police Major Crash Team (MCT)responded and took the lead on the investigation.

No additional information is available at this time.

This was the 22nd fatal crash MCT has responded to in 2020.
