Robbery detectives have charged two suspects related to a robbery of a vehicle near Cathedral Park.

Faysal M. Osman, 19, of Portland and Rico O. Cabrera, 19, of Portland, were booked in the Multnomah County Detention Center on charges of Robbery in the First Degree.

A victim was robbed of her vehicle at gunpoint after a shooting in Cathedral Park Sunday evening.

On Sunday, August 9, 2020 at 8:09p.m., North Precinct officers were dispatched to a report of shots heard in Cathedral Park, 6705 North Pittsburg Avenue. As officers were responding, another call came in at the same location from a woman who said she was carjacked at gunpoint by multiple suspects. She was not injured, but the suspects took her car.

As the call was coming out, another officer in an unmarked police car spotted the stolen vehicle near North Sumner Street and North Maryland Ave. Officers responded and challenged the suspects. All three were detained.

Officers located evidence of gunfire in Cathedral Park. No injuries were reported.

Robbery detectives responded to assume the investigation. No further details are available at this time.
