Vehicular Traffic Blocked during Mass Gatherings throughout Portland

On August 13, 2020, three separate groups came together throughout Portland. One group gathered in North Portland for several hours. This group rallied and marched through the neighborhoods. While marching through the neighborhoods, vehicular traffic was blocked. A second group gathered at Jamison Square in Northwest Portland. This group rallied and had different speakers for several hours. Both of these groups were dispersed by 10:30 p.m.

A third group came together in and around Chapman Square and Lownsdale Square Parks in downtown Portland. The gathering spilled out into the streets surrounding the parks. The group blocked vehicular traffic for several hours on Southwest 3rd Avenue at Southwest Main Street. By midnight, the majority of the crowd left the area.

Portland Police Bureau members did not interact with any of the gatherings.
