Mass Gathering Blocks Streets for Hours

In the evening hours of August, 27, 2020, a large group gathered at Duniway Park in the 600 block of Southwest Sheridan Street. At around 7:15 p.m., the group began heading northbound on Southwest 6th Avenue. For a couple hours, the group marched around downtown Portland, blocking streets and chanting. At approximately 9:22 p.m., the group returned to Duniway Park before dispersing.

Portland Police did not interact with the gathering.
