UPDATE: Homicide Suspect Arrested for October Murder

In the early hours of December 18, 2020, 23-year-old Dario Papa-Vicente was taken into custody by East Precinct officers for a homicide warrant. PPB's Homicide Detectives had identified Dario Papa-Vicente as the suspect in the fatal shooting of Noah Terry on October 24, 2020.

Dario Papa-Vicente was booked into the Multnomah County Detention Center on charges of Murder in the Second Degree and Unlawful Use of a Weapon.

The victim in this case has been identified as 22-year-old Noah Terry. The Oregon State Medical Examiner's Office conducted an autopsy and determined that Mr. Terry's death was a homicide by gunshot.

Additional information will be released at the direction of the investigators.

On October 24, 2020 at about 9:34 p.m., Portland Police responded to the report of shots in the area of Southeast 48th Avenue and Southeast Division Street. Later, a person who appeared to have been shot, arrived by private vehicle at a local hospital, but did not survive.

Cause and manner of death will be determined by the Oregon State Medical Examiner at a later time and date. Additional information will be released at the direction of the investigators.
