PPB Responds to Early Morning Shooting in the Powellhurst-Gilbert Neighborhood (Photo)

On November 30, 2020 at 4:18 a.m., officers from the East Precinct responded to the report of a shooting in the 3800 block of Southeast 136th Avenue. Officers arrived to the location and located evidence of gunfire. Over 25 casings were found; a vehicle and residence had been hit by gunfire.

A short time later, an adult male arrived at an area hospital with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound. It is unknown if the two are related.

This investigations are ongoing and additional information will be released at the direction of investigators.

The Portland Police Bureau (PPB) has responded to at least 85 shootings for the month of November and 778 since January 1 of this year. PPB responded to 33 shootings in November of 2019 and a total of 393 for all of 2019. Crime stats on shootings can be found here: https://www.portlandoregon.gov/police/81203
