(Update) Homicide in South Portland - Victim Identified

Portland Police responded to the report of a shooting on Sunday, March 28, 2021, near the intersection of Southwest Barbur Boulevard and Southwest Capitol Highway. Officers arrived to find a person who was deceased.

That person has been identified as 53-year-old Kim Lambright, of Portland. An autopsy determined Lambright's death was a homicide by gunshot.

Southwest Barbur Boulevard and Southwest Capitol Highway intersect in two different places. Lambright was found near the intersection of these two roads by the Hillsdale and South Portland neighborhoods.

This is the 23rd homicide in Portland in 2021. Any further information will be released at the direction of the investigators. The victim's family asks for privacy.

On Sunday, March 28, 2021, at 8:32 a.m., officers from the Central Precinct responded to a shooting in a wooded area near Southwest Barbur Blvd and Southwest Capital Hwy. Upon their arrival, officers located a victim who was deceased.
