Rocky Butte Shooting Homicide Victim Identified (Photo)

The victim in the June 28, 2021 shooting on Rocky Butte has been identified as Alexzander J. Hensey, 20.

The autopsy determined Hensey died from gunshot wounds and his death was ruled a homicide.

This is an ongoing investigation and any additional information will be released at the direction of investigators.

On June 28, 2021, at about 4:30 a.m., Portland Police responded to the report of a shooting on Rocky Butte, in Joseph Wood Hill Park.

When officers arrived they found a deceased adult male. Portland Police Homicide detectives responded to investigate. According to detectives, the preliminary investigation indicates this was a homicide.

An autopsy will be scheduled to determine the cause and manner of death. This is an ongoing investigation and any additional information will be released at the direction of investigators.
