November 09, 2012 18:06Due to media exposure to this case, someone called into the DHS Hotline and gave information leading to the location of both mom and the 7-month-old. Police and medical personnel responded and the 7-year-old is now safe and receiving medical attention.

The Child Abuse Team is asking for the public's help in locating a 7-month-old girl who may be suffering from a serious medical problem.
7-month-old Amirah Conteh is believed to be with her mother, 20-year-old Musu Conteh. Musu is described a 5'2" tall with a heavy build. Musu and the child may frequent the areas of North Albina Avenue and Killingsworth Street and Northeast Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and Jessup Street.
A photo of Musu is being released to assist the public in identification.
Anyone seeing Musu or Amirah is asked to immediately call 9-1-1. Anyone with non-emergency information is asked to call the Department of Human Services Hotline at (503) 731-3100.
