The second vehicle struck by gunfire was a City of Portland Parks and Recreation vehicle. Two park rangers were traveling in the vehicle when it was struck by gunfire. There have been no reported injuries. This incident remains under investigation.

On Monday, September 13, 2021 at 9:12 p.m., East Precinct officers responded to Southeast 72nd Avenue and Southeast Woodstock Boulevard on a report of multiple shots fired in the area.
Officers arrived and located evidence of gunfire. Through their investigation, officers learned that a bullet went through the windshield of a passing car, barely missing the driver. A total of two vehicles were struck by gunfire. 26 cartridge casings in different calibers were recovered from the scene.
There have been no reported injuries as a result of this shooting and no arrests have been made.
