On Saturday January 5, 2013, at approximately 12:30 a.m., Portland Police officers assigned to East Precinct officers responded to Jody's Bar and Grill, located at 12035 Northeast Glisan Street, on the report of a shooting in the parking lot.

As officers were enroute, additional information was broadcast that the suspect and two females fled the area in a silver Ford Crown Victoria.

Officers arrived and discovered a shell casing in the parking lot and a bullet strike to the Taco Bell building, which is located just to the west of Jody's.

Jody's security told police that the shooting started as a fight inside the bar followed by the shooting which occurred in the parking lot in front of the location. No one was hit and the intended victim sped off in a vehicle.

Officers from the Gresham Police Department located and stopped the suspect vehicle at Northeast 8th Street and Cleveland Avenue in Gresham, and the male driver and two females were detained.

Witnesses identified the vehicle and the people as being involved in the fight and shooting. Officers recovered a handgun inside the vehicle that investigators believe was used in the shooting.

Based on information developed at the scene, Gang Enforcement Team detectives responded to further the investigation.

Ultimately the driver of the suspect vehicle, 30-year-old Kace Adigun Talton, was arrested and charged with Attempted Murder, Unlawful Use of a Firearm, Felon in Possession of a Firearm, and two counts of Reckless Endangerment.

Talton was booked into the Multnomah County Jail and will be arraigned on Monday.

Anyone with additional information about this shooting is asked to contact Detective Todd Gradwahl at (503) 823-2056 or Todd.Gradwahl@PortlandOregon.gov.

Investigators from the Oregon Liquor Control Commission (OLCC) were notified and responded to speak with Jody's Bar & Grill management.
