Suspect Wanted on Murder Charges Arrested

A suspect wanted on murder warrants was arrested by PPB patrol officers, with the assistance of a K9 and a police airplane.

On Thursday, March 3, 2022 at 6:06p.m., an East Precinct officer observed suspicious person in a vehicle near Northeast Glisan Street and Northeast 102nd Avenue. Through further observation, the officer developed probable cause to stop the driver. The driver eluded the officer, who did not pursue. The Air Support Unit (ASU) joined and followed the car as its driver tried to get away. The driver jumped out and ran from the pickup truck on Southeast 111th Avenue near Southeast Stark Street. Officers set up containment around the area. Officers used a K9 unit and ASU to track her and arrested the driver in a nearby backyard.

The truck was found to be stolen and was recovered by officers.

Kitchens was booked into the Multnomah County Detention center on her warrants as well as Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle and Attempt to Elude by vehicle.
