Extra Patrol Effort Leads to 2 Arrests, Seizure of Semiautomatic Shotgun (Photo)

An extra patrol effort by East Precinct officers led to 2 arrests and the seizure of a semiautomatic shotgun.

On Friday, April 1, 2022 at 7:42a.m., officers from the East Neighborhood Response Team (NRT) were conducting extra patrol in the area of Southeast 111th Avenue and Southeast Powell Boulevard due to neighborhood complaints involving criminal activity in the area. East NRT officers attempted to stop a suspicious vehicle but the vehicle's driver eluded them. Officers located the vehicle near I-205 at Southeast Powell Boulevard where the suspects ran away. East NRT officers deployed tactical apprehension techniques and arrested the suspects.

Roger F. Harris, 27, was booked into the Multnomah County Detention Center on charges of Felon in Possession of a Firearm, Attempt to Elude Police by Vehicle, Attempt to Elude Police on Foot, Failure to Perform the Duties of a Driver (property damage), and Reckless Driving.

Nathan D. Hardway, 40, was booked on a probation violation hold.
