Pedestrian Struck By MAX Suffers Life-Threatening Injuries

On Sunday, May 15, 2022, at 9:02 p.m., officers from the East Precinct were dispatched to a report of an accident at Northeast Jonesmore Street and Northeast 82nd Avenue involving a MAX train and a pedestrian. Upon their arrival, officers found the pedestrian to be severely injured. The pedestrian was transported to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries.

The Portland Police Major Crash Team is responding to investigate. During the investigation, the MAX light rail station at Northeast Jonesmore Street and Northeast 82nd Avenue will be closed.
