48-year-old Suzanne Mudica was located this morning at approximately 8:45 a.m. when an alert community member spotted her walking westbound along the shoulder of Highway 26 through the Canyon Tunnel.

Officers arrived and safely got Mudica off the highway and returned to her residential care facility.

The Portland Police Bureau is asking for the public's assistance in locating 48-year-old Suzanne Mudica (pronounced "Moo-dik-a"), who was reported missing after she wandered away from her residential care facility, during the evening on September 15, 2013.

Mudica suffers from mental health issues, is not her own legal guardian, and cannot safely care for herself. Mudica was believed to have left on foot from the secure care facility, located in the 5000 block of Northeast Killingsworth Street, by scaling a large fence surrounding the property.

Mudica is described as a white female, 48 years old, 5'7", 175 pounds, with brown hair and blue eyes. She has no teeth, is currently not wearing any dentures, and often wears a lot of makeup.

Anyone who knows of Mudica's whereabouts is asked to call 9-1-1. Anyone with additional, non-emergency information about this case is asked to contact Detective Mike Weinstein, Missing Persons Unit, at (503) 823-0446 or Mike.Weinstein@portlandoregon.gov.
