The victim is identified as 59-year-old Penelope Fagan. The Medical Examiner determined her manner and cause of death to be homicide by blunt force trauma. Fagan's family has been notified of her death and is requesting privacy at this time.

On Monday, August 8, 2022, at 1:33 a.m., officers from the East Precinct responded to an assault call in the 1800 block of Northeast 104th Avenue. Officers arrived to find an adult female who was deceased.

The Portland Police Homicide Unit has responded to investigate. The identity of the victim will be released after they are positively identified, the Medical Examiner has confirmed cause of death, and after family members have been notified.

The PIO is not responding to the scene. More information will be released when appropriate.
