Centennial Neighborhood Homicide Victim Identified (Photo)

The victim in this homicide is identified as 54-year-old Stephenic Hall. The Medical Examiner’s Office determined the manner and cause of death to be homicide by gunshot wound. Hall’s family has been notified of his death, and they provided the attached picture for public release. Hall’s family is asking for privacy at this time.

A man has died after a shooting in the Centennial Neighborhood

On Sunday, August 28, 2022, at 9:32 p.m., officers from East Precinct responded to a shooting call in the 600 Block of Southeast 148th Avenue. Officers arrived and found a man who was shot and appeared to be deceased. Medical arrived and confirmed that the victim was deceased.

The Portland Police Homicide Unit has responded to investigate. During the investigation, the Northbound lanes of Northeast 148th will be closed at Stark Street.

The identity of the victim will be released after they are positively identified, the Medical Examiner has confirmed cause of death, and after family members have been notified.

The PIO is not responding to the scene. More information will be released when appropriate.
