Pedestrian Killed in Crash in East Portland

On 10/17/2022 at approximately 06:58 a.m. officers from the East Precinct responded to a report of a pedestrian struck by a vehicle on Southeast Stark Street at Southeast 146th Ave.

Arriving officers determined the pedestrian was deceased and the Major Crash Team was activated to respond. The driver remained on scene and is cooperating with investigators.

Southeast Stark Street is closed between Southeast 143rd Ave and Southeast 148th Ave and will remain closed for several hours as investigators process the scene. The identity of the pedestrian will be released when authorized by the Multnomah County Medical Examiner's office.

More information will be released when appropriate.
