A fatal crash in the Sunderland Neighborhood has closed Northeast Columbia Boulevard for an investigation.
On Wednesday, December 7, 2022 at 4:56p.m., North Precinct officers responded to a report of an injury crash on Northeast Columbia Boulevard just west of Northeast 33rd Drive. When officers and paramedics arrived, they discovered a crash involving 3 vehicles, including one semi. An occupant of one of the vehicles was found to be deceased at the scene. An occupant of another vehicle was transported to the hospital by ambulance with serious injuries.
The Portland Police Traffic Division Major Crash Team responded to the scene to investigate. During the investigation, Northeast Columbia Boulevard is closed between Northeast 21st Avenue and Northeast 42nd Avenue. It is expected to remain closed for several hours.
