The deceased victims are identified as Efren Casas, 58, and Edgar Casas, 33, of Portland. The medical examiner determined their manner and cause of death was homicide by gunshot. The suspect is identified as Alan Casas, 30. He died of suicide by gunshot. Efren was the father of brothers, Edgar and Alan. Their family has been notified of their deaths and is requesting privacy at this time.

The shooting investigation in the 16600 block of Southeast Main Street is now a homicide investigation. Detectives found three men deceased at the scene. A woman injured during the disturbance was transported to an area hospital to be treated for her injuries. At this point there are no outstanding suspects.
The Portland Police Bureau Homicide Unit responded to the scene and is investigating. On Sunday, December 11, 2022, at 6:45 p.m., officers from the East Precinct responded to shooting call in the 16600 block of Southeast Main Street. Officers arrived to find an adult female suffering from an unknown injury. The victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment.
Officers believed the suspect was still in the immediate area and armed. Due to the nature of the call and the fact that the suspect could still pose an immediate danger, the Special Emergency Response Team (SERT) and the Crisis Negotiation Team (CNT) responded to assist in a search for the suspect.
SERT and CNT have completed the search and have cleared the area. This is still an active crime scene and Portland Police Bureau Detectives have responded to investigate. There is no danger to the public.
