Dollar Tree Robbed in Southeast Portland's Mt.Scott-Arleta Neighborhood

This evening, Monday November 4, 2013, at 8:42 p.m., East Precinct officers responded to the report of an armed robbery at the Foster Square Dollar Tree, located at 6868 Southeast Foster Road.

Officers arrived in the area and contacted the victim who told police that the suspect entered the store, armed with a handgun, and demanded money. After obtaining an undisclosed amount of money, the suspect left the store and was last seen walking eastbound on Foster Road.

Several officers checked the neighborhood but did not locate anyone matching the suspect's description. At this point, police do not feel that there is any immediate danger to the neighborhood.

The suspect is described as a white male in his 50s, 6' tall, medium build, blue eyes, a pockmarked face, wearing a dark beanie cap and a dark jacket, armed with a handgun.
