Kenton Neighborhood 7-11 Store Robbed on Tuesday Evening

On Tuesday November 19, 2013, at 9:24 p.m., North Precinct officers responded to the 7-11 store located at 1931 North Lombard Street on the report of a hold-up alarm.

Officers arrived in the area and contacted employees who told police that the suspect grabbed a pack of cigarettes and walked out of the store. One employee jumped over the counter and chased after the suspect on North Denver Avenue.

The victim told police that the suspect stopped, turned to face him, and displayed a handgun. The victim ran back to the store and pushed the alarm button.

Several officers, including a Police K-9 Unit, checked the neighborhood but did not locate anyone matching the suspect's description.

The suspect is described as an African American male in his 40s, 6'1" tall, 240 pounds, shaved head, brown eyes, wearing all dark clothing.
