The Portland Police Bureau is asking for the public’s help in locating Jacqueline Alexander, who has been diagnosed with Dementia and Schizophrenia.

On February 13, 2023, at 12:16 a.m., officers from the East Precinct responded to a missing person call from the 1300 Block of Southeast 162nd Avenue. The caller reported Jacqueline missing from her care facility, where she stepped outside at 11:59 p.m. to get some fresh air. Care providers realized Jacqueline left the backyard through an opened gate. Since the initial report there has been one potential sighting of Jacqueline in the area of Southeast 162nd Avenue and Southeast Stark Street.

Jacqueline Alexander is 75-years-old and is described as an African-American female, standing 5’3” tall and weighing 155 lbs (she is thinner than in her photo). Alexander was last seen wearing a dark blue sweater and blue jeans. Jacqueline has a bruise on her forehead and black eye from a recent fall. If approached, Jacqueline would know her name, however she likely will not know her date of birth or address. Jacqueline has lived in the area since 2017, but has rarely left the care facility. There are no parks or stores which Jacqueline frequents. Jacqueline does not have a wallet or cellular device with her and is not familiar with public transportation.

Anyone who sees Jacqueline Alexander is asked to immediately call 911.
