UPDATE: Victim Identified, Arrest Made in Lents Neighborhood Murder Case (Photo)

The victim of the March 31 homicide in the Lents Neighborhood is identified as Connie Campagna-Martinez, 48, of Portland. Her family has been notified of her death and provided the attached photograph for public release. They are requesting privacy at this time.

The ME determined she died of homicide by gunshot wounds.

On Saturday, April 8, 2023, PPB Homicide Detectives, assisted by the Klamath County Sheriff’s Office and the United States Marshals Service, arrested a 17-year-old male suspect in Chiloquin, Oregon, and booked him into Klamath County Juvenile Detention on charges of Murder in the Second Degree and Unlawful Use of a Weapon. He will be transported to Multnomah County at a later time.

One woman is deceased in a shooting in the Lents Neighborhood.

On Friday, March 31, 2023 at 10:14p.m., East Precinct officers responded to a report of a shooting in the 9100 block of Southeast Crystal Springs Boulevard. When they arrived they located the victim, an adult female, deceased at the scene.

The suspect or suspects left the scene before police arrived and no immediate arrests were made.

The Portland Police Homicide Unit is responding to the scene to investigate the case. During the investigation, Southeast Crystal Springs Boulevard is closed between Southeast 89th Avenue and Southeast 92nd Avenue.
