This incident occurred near the area of North Adriatic Avenue and North Esperanza Street.



Last night, February 23, 2014, at 9:48 p.m. North Precinct officers responded to a sexual assault in the Portsmouth Neighborhood. Officers arrived and a 15-year-old female reported that she had been sexually assaulted. Officers conducted a thorough check of the area and identified a possible crime scene but did not locate the suspect.

Officer requested that PPB detectives and criminalists from the Forensic Evidence Division respond to the scene. Detectives arrived and began their investigation. It is early in the investigation but preliminary results indicate that the suspect may be an unknown age, male, black, wearing a black sweatshirt with a hood. The victim did not know the suspect.
