Pedestrian Identified in Fatal Hit And Run Crash, Investigators Ask for Assistance (Photo)

The pedestrian who died in the June 6, 2023, Concordia Neighborhood crash is identified as Lorn A. Thompson, 47, of Portland. His family has been notified of his death.

No arrests have been made and Traffic Investigators are asking for the public’s assistance with this investigation. The suspect vehicle is a white mid-2000 model year Ford Pickup truck, likely an F250 or F350 with chrome on the front grille and possibly front bumper. It is missing the Ford emblem on the front grille.

The damaged area is indicated in the red circle in the attached flyer. The truck is missing the driver’s side headlight housing and pieces of the chrome grille and/or front bumper.

On June 6, 2023, at 10:10 p.m., officers from the North Precinct were dispatched to the intersection of Northeast 33rd Avenue and Northeast Lombard Street on the report of a pedestrian hit by a vehicle. Officers arrived to find a person struck by a vehicle and who had died at the scene. The vehicle involved in the crash left the scene.

The Major Crash Team (MCT) has responded to the scene and is assuming control of the investigation. Northeast Lombard Street will be closed from Northeast 32nd Avenue to Northeast 33rd Avenue while investigators process the scene and collect evidence.
