UPDATE: St. Johns Neighborhood Homicide Victim Identified (Photo)

The victim in the July 9 St. Johns Neighborhood homicide is Tyrell W. Martin, 26, of Portland. His family has been notified of his death and provided the attached photographs for public release. The family is requesting privacy at this time.

The medical examiner determined that he died of homicide by gunshot wounds.

On Sunday, July 9, 2023, at 9:48 p.m., officers from North Precinct responded to a shooting call in the 8400 block of North Fessenden Street. When officers arrived, they found a deceased man. No one has been detained and no arrests have been made.

Portland Police Homicide detectives have responded to the scene to investigate.
