Officers Respond to Multiple Overdoses in the Pearl District

Four people were transported to the hospital after overdosing on suspected fentanyl in the Pearl District.

On Monday, October 2, 2023, Central Precinct Officers, along with Portland Fire & Rescue, responded to the area of Northwest Couch Street and Northwest Park Avenue on reports of multiple overdoses. Officers found eight people who had overdosed after ingesting a powder likely laced with fentanyl. Four of the victims were transported to the hospital and their conditions are unknown. The four other victims refused transport to the hospital.

These overdoses are under investigation. If anyone has information, and has not spoken to officers, please email crimetips@police.portlandoregon.gov
