Portland Police K-9 Officer Available for Media Interviews on Friday (Photo)

On Friday April 18, 2014, at 10:00 a.m., Portland Police K-9 Officer Shawn Gore and his canine partner Jasko (pronounced "Yah-skow") will be at the K-9 Unit to answer general media questions about the unit, K-9 training and the impact the shooting of Officer Jeff Dorn and his canine partner Mick.

Officer Gore is a 21-year veteran of the Police Bureau and a long-time member of the K-9 Unit.
The K-9 Unit is located at 4735 East Burnside Street.

Several members of the community have asked if there is a donation fund for the K-9 Unit. The Bureau has learned that donations ARE tax-deductible and can be sent directly to the Portland Police Bureau K-9 Unit:
