UPDATE: Passenger In Deadly Motorcycle Crash In Critical Condition

A passenger riding on the motorcycle in the deadly crash on Southeast 122nd Avenue was transported to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries and is in critical condition.

On Sunday, December 31, 2023, at 2:48 p.m., officers from the East Precinct responded to a crash near the intersection of Southeast 122nd Avenue and Southeast Stark Street. Officers arrived to find a crash between a motorcycle and a car. The motorcyclist died at the scene.

The Portland Police Bureau Major Crash Team is responding to the scene to investigate. During the investigation Southeast 122nd Avenue will be closed in both directions between Southeast Stark Street and Southeast Ash Street.
