A suspect has been arrested for the January 13, 2024 homicide of Joshua Page in the Hillsdale Neighborhood.
On Wednesday, April 3, 2024, Portland Police Bureau Homicide Detectives, with the assistance of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office, Federal Bureau of Investigation, and the U.S. Attorney’s Office of Oregon, arrested 19-year-old Luis Fernando Gutierrez-Medina. He was lodged at the Multnomah County Detention Center on the following charge: Manslaughter in the First Degree.
The victim’s family has been notified of the arrest.

The victim is identified as 35-year-old Joshua Page. Family has been notified of his death. They are requesting privacy at this time, but they did provide a photo for release.
The Medical Examiner determined Page died of homicide by gunshot wound.

A man is in the hospital with serious, life-threatening injuries after a shooting in the Hillsdale Neighborhood.
On Saturday, January 13, 2024 at 3:27a.m., Central Precinct officers responded to a report of a shooting in the 6300 block of Southwest Capitol Highway. When officers arrived they found an adult male victim in a vehicle in a business parking lot. Emergency medical services arrived and transported the patient to the hospital.
Officers established a crime scene and detectives responded to the scene to investigate. Southwest Capitol Highway was blocked for several hours during the investigation but reopened about 9a.m.
