The Portland Police Bureau’s Missing Persons Unit is looking for a missing endangered man and anyone who sees him is asked to contact PPB.

On Wednesday, January 24, 2024, at approximately 5:00 p.m., Edwin Hartley Jr., 72, drove to a laundromat in the 4500 block of Southwest Vermont Street. Several hours later, Edwin’s wife walked to the laundromat and learned her husband left the laundromat at 7:00 p.m. Edwin has not been seen since.

Both detectives and family are concerned about Edwin because he suffers from depression and confusion.

Edwin is described as a Caucasian male, 6’0”, 196 lbs. He was last seen wearing a gray jacket, navy shirt, and blue jeans. Edwin wears contacts and has hearing aids. He may be driving a 2012 silver Toyota Prius with Oregon license plate 831FRK.

PPB is asking anyone who sees Edwin to please call 911. Anyone with information about the case is urged to contact detectives at missing@police.portlandoregon.gov .
