Portland Police Bureau Conducts Crime Suppression Mission on 82nd Avenue (Photo)

On Wednesday February 21st, 2024, officers from Central Precinct, North Precinct and East Precinct conducted a joint mission to address problematic motels along 82nd Avenue. The motels identified were locations that had repeated calls for service, reported assaults, drug complaints, a homicide and stolen vehicles located on or around the motel property.

Several Neighborhood Response Teams (NRT) used statistical data and patrol officer knowledge to address these issues along 82nd Avenue and adjacent streets.

The mission resulted in:

4 - Misdemeanor Warrants
2 - Violation Citations
16 - Subject Contacts
18 - Vehicle Stops
0 - Vehicle Eludes

2 - Stolen Vehicles
$6,000.00 - Recovered Stolen Vehicle Value

The Portland Police Bureau plans to conduct future joint missions in other parts of the city in an effort to address criminal activity and livability issues.
